Verifying your phone

A verified phone number helps hosts and guests reach you when it matters, and lets you recover your account by text message.
How to verify
- Go to Account settings → Personal information.
- Next to Phone number, choose Add (or Verify if it's already saved).
- Pick your country and enter your number.
- We text you a 4-digit code. Enter it within 10 minutes.
We only use text messages to send verification codes, never for marketing.
Which numbers can be verified
Right now, we can text codes to Ethiopian mobile numbers on Ethio telecom (+251 9…). You can save a number from another country, and we'll let you verify it as soon as that's available. Until then, your verified email keeps your account safe.
Didn't get the code?
- Check that the number and country are right.
- Wait a minute, then ask for a new code. For your security, there's a short wait between codes and a daily limit.
- Make sure your phone has signal and can receive text messages.
