Terms of Service

Gojo Spot (gojospot.com) is an online platform that connects people looking for a place to stay in Ethiopia (“guests”) with people who offer homes, guesthouses and long stays (“hosts”). Gojo Spot is not a party to the agreement between a host and a guest, does not own or run the listed places, and is not a real-estate agent.

• You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement.
• You must give accurate information and keep it up to date. One account per person.
• You are responsible for your account and for keeping your password and sign-in methods secure. Tell us right away at gameplayethopian@gmail.com if you think your account has been misused.

• Treat the place and its neighbours with respect and follow the host’s house rules.
• Only bring the number of guests agreed with the host.
• Leave the place as you found it, and pay for damage you or your guests cause.
• Follow Ethiopian law, including registration rules that apply to guests.

• Only list places you own or have the legal right to rent out.
• Describe your place honestly, with real photos, accurate prices, rules and availability.
• Keep the place safe, clean and as described, and honour the bookings you accept.
• Follow Ethiopian law, including licences, local rules and taxes that apply to you as a host.
• Treat guests fairly. Discrimination based on ethnicity, religion, gender, disability or similar grounds is not allowed.

Bookings and payments are not available yet. Listings shown today are examples. When we launch bookings, we’ll publish the rules for prices, fees, payment methods (such as Telebirr, M-Pesa, CBE Birr and cards), cancellations and refunds, and update these Terms before anyone is charged.

Until then, please do not send money to anyone for a place you found on Gojo Spot.

You must not:

• Post false, misleading, illegal or offensive content, or pretend to be someone else.
• Harass, threaten, scam or discriminate against anyone.
• Ask for or make payments outside Gojo Spot once payments are available here.
• Use Gojo Spot for anything illegal under Ethiopian law.
• Copy, scrape or overload the site, or try to break its security or access other people’s accounts.
• Use other people’s personal data from Gojo Spot for anything other than a stay you are arranging.

You own what you post (such as your profile, photos and, later, listings and reviews). You give Gojo Spot permission to show it on the platform and to use it to run and promote Gojo Spot. Make sure you have the right to post it. We may remove content that breaks these Terms or the law.

You can stop using Gojo Spot at any time and ask us to close your account from Account settings → Privacy.

We may suspend or close an account, or remove content, if someone breaks these Terms or the law, puts others at risk, or if we are required to by law. Where it’s safe and reasonable, we’ll tell you why.

Gojo Spot is provided “as is”. We work to keep it accurate, available and secure, but we can’t promise it will always be error-free or uninterrupted.

Hosts are responsible for their places and guests for their stays. To the extent Ethiopian law allows, Gojo Spot is not liable for indirect or unexpected losses, or for what hosts and guests do. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. If a dispute comes up, please contact us first at gameplayethopian@gmail.com so we can try to solve it together; otherwise, the competent courts of Ethiopia will decide.

We may update these Terms as Gojo Spot grows. We’ll change the date at the top and tell you about important changes before they apply. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data. Questions? Email us at gameplayethopian@gmail.com.
