About Gojo Spot
Last updated
Gojo Spot helps travelers find homes, guesthouses and long stays across Ethiopia, hosted by local people.
The name comes from the gojo bet, the traditional round house with a thatched roof that you still see across the Ethiopian countryside. A gojo is a home: simple, welcoming and made for gathering.
Our mission
To make it easy and safe to stay with local hosts anywhere in Ethiopia, and to help Ethiopians earn from their homes.
Made in Ethiopia
Gojo Spot is built in Ethiopia, for Ethiopia: Ethiopian birr as a currency, Amharic as a language, phone verification on local numbers, and local payment methods such as Telebirr, M-Pesa and CBE Birr when bookings open.
What we care about
- Trust: verified identities, honest listings and real reviews.
- Safety: clear rules for hosts and guests, and a team that reads every report.
- Welcome: everyone who follows the rules is welcome, whoever they are and wherever they come from.
