Community Standards

On this page
Gojo Spot works because hosts open their homes and guests treat them well. These standards apply to everyone, and to everything you do on Gojo Spot: profiles, messages, listings, stays and reviews.
Safety
- Never put anyone in danger, threaten them or encourage violence.
- Keep homes safe: working locks, safe electricity and gas, and a clear way out in an emergency.
- Don't hide cameras or recording devices. Any camera in or around a home must be disclosed in the listing, and never in bedrooms or bathrooms.
- If someone is in immediate danger, call the police (991) or ambulance (907) first, then report it to us.
Respect
- Treat people with courtesy, in messages and in person.
- Respect homes, neighbours and local customs.
- No harassment, bullying, sexual advances or hateful language.
Fairness and inclusion
Everyone should be welcome on Gojo Spot. Hosts and guests may not treat anyone differently because of their ethnicity, region, religion, language, sex, disability or other personal characteristics. Read our Anti-discrimination Policy.
Honesty
- Use your real identity. Your legal name must match your ID.
- Describe homes accurately, with real photos and the real price.
- Write honest reviews based on real stays.
- Never scam anyone, and never ask for or send payments outside Gojo Spot once payments are available here.
Privacy
- Use other people's details only to arrange a stay.
- Don't share someone's address, phone number or photos without permission.
Following the law
Follow Ethiopian law, including rules on registration, licences and taxes that apply to you.
When standards are broken
Depending on what happened, we may remove content, warn someone, limit features, or suspend or close an account. When there's a risk to someone's safety, we act first and explain afterwards. If you see something that breaks these standards, report a concern.
